Dairy Farmer's Thankful Thursday

More than 10 years ago , my Mother-in-Love Bonnah Lyn  presented me
with this blooming crab apple tree. Even though it's a bit crooked
from a couple of bad storms causing a twist and loss of a  few branches,
you can't help but enjoy its beauty during the period of blooming
and the sweet memories of my tree loving mother-in-law.

There's a lot of assurance and hope in the unfolding of spring
and  the routine  of daily life down on the dairy farm.
The impact of COVID-19 has removed alot of our normal in everyday
life but it can not remove our joy and hope!
I'm thankful that we are able to continue milking the cows,
feeding the cows and calves  and producing high-quality milk
that feeds families in our community.

"Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually
grant you peace in every circumstance."

Christmas Blessings

Merry Christmas!
Even though we will be doing our usual everyday chores of
feeding, milking and caring for our dairy cows and calves,
we always find time to celebrate together as a family.

From down on the dairy farm,
we wish you joy within your home,
love within your hearts
and happiness that all comes through
the greatest gift that was given to us...Jesus.

Christmas Blessings!

October Joy

Pocket dialing with a cell phone is pretty common but how often do you take
500 photos with your phone in your pocket while feeding baby calves?
I saved this one picture because it captures the crisp color
of the October sky on an ordinary afternoon down on the dairy farm.

Deleting the other four hundred and ninety nine pictures wasn't too fun  but
it was  a reminder that although mistakes happen quickly,

joy can be found easily in an upside down situation.

May your October be full of joy.

                                                            Happy October!
