Thank a Veteran

Bill Anglin, my father-in-law, served in the Army during
World War II.  Part of his service time was spent in Japan
as a medic.  Bill never talked about his war experience but
we know that he witnessed much pain and suffering during his
time of service.  He was like many others that returned to their homes
and communities and went about living life to the fullest with
their families. Although  returning home was a victory ,  there was
a great awareness of and appreciation for those that gave all for
the protection of freedom.

We continue to enjoy the freedom to farm and
live as we choose because of the brave men and women
who have served and are serving to protect our freedoms.

                                                           Many thanks to every Veteran!

Memorial Day Remembrance

When I look at these old pictures of my dad, the Navy boy, and Ryan's dad, the Army guy, I find it hard to imagine how the world really was when each enlisted to serve our nation. As I placed the flowers on their graves yesterday for Memorial Day, I felt fortunate to have known and loved  such great men  that served  their country and instilled a love for  our nation   in both Ryan and myself.

I'm grateful for  the men and women who have given their all for our country for  the freedoms we enjoy. Memorial Day gives us an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made for all of us.

God Bless America!
