Dairymom's Thankful Thursday

Before Casey was in sight of the pasture with the feed wagon, these pregnant  cows
were ready and waiting for their morning treat. They weren't a bit
bothered by the chilly, rainy weather that's been
hanging around for the last few days.

I'm thankful for the routine of our everyday life on the dairy farm.
No day is the same because of the things we don't control
and  yet it's our routine to care for our cattle
and the land we call home everyday of the year.

Dairymom's Thankful Thursday

Labor Day,like all the other days of the year,
found  us busy with the daily chores of feeding calves,

                                                            milking and feeding the cows,

and
welcoming a new calf to the farm.

I'm thankful for the opportunity we have to labor everyday together as a family
down on the Arkansas dairy farm.

Dairymom's Thankful Thursday

Dairy cattle are cared for around the clock 365 days a year.
During these cold, snowy days, I love  watching the cows gather around the hay feeders to enjoy the crop that we harvested on a hot summer day. We care for our dairy cows everyday by providing  a nutritious diet, good medical care and healthy living conditions.

Even though the snow is beautiful and moisture for the soil is appreciated, I'm thankful that we are approaching the end of winter!
