Casey had a hand accident last week that required surgery and six weeks of wearing a cast. It's not easy doing dairy farm chores with one hand-- but he's learning to adapt and we're figuring out the jobs he can continue to do!
I'm thankful that this is an injury that will heal and for the skilled surgeon, caring nurses, and the availability of medical services in our community.
I'm thankful Casey received great medical care and is recovering!
ReplyDeleteI commented on an ancient article, I didn't realize you were still publishing!
ReplyDeleteI remember a very nice guy named Bill Anglin who delivered our mail south of Centerton about 1971. :-)
Plus, I'm a pen and ink artist, I'd like to throw your 1947 parade pic in my to-do pile, ok by you? I'm trying to draw the square as seen in various historical periods. I'm working on a 1910 view at the moment. Looks like that parade is heading north, correct?
Have a good day. :-)
Feel free to use the picture--would be nice to see your finished product. I think you are right about the direction of the parade.
DeleteI'd be delighted to show you the finished product. I'll let you know when i get to it.
DeleteI was shooting pics this morning of the Terry Block building, the detail on the 1910 postcard pic I've been working from wasn't great, I needed more. It's astounding how the area has changed, but how that square has remained pretty much the same for over 100 years.
Thanks, and I'll be back in touch.
